Lou Lou has been an artist all of her life and an Educator for the past 30 years. She first achieved public recognition with her international award at the age of 14. Her artworks have been purchased worldwide.
Lou Lou grew up in Sydney and studied Art Education at the University of NSW and completed an Associate Diploma at the University of Sydney.
As a Targeted Graduate, she was lucky to be placed in her first teaching position at a Sports High School in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.
Her teaching career was rewarding but hectic. After a rigorous re-training course in 2005, her teaching took a different direction in area T.A.S.
As a full-time educator she took a step away from creating and instead focused upon her career, her daughter and students. She achieved excellent results in both of these areas. In early 2013 due to a major illness she took a break from her career and returned to her passion which is creativity. Lou Lou took a step towards the quieter life in the Hunter Valley where she holds regular weekend art workshops.
Lou Lou produces unique individual pieces of art using an intuitive approach. Her initial work is fluid and sometimes very abstract. She then develops them into a more formalised artwork, often incorporating Symbols into the work.
Like us every piece has a story and is unique. All of Lou Lou’s artworks are imbued with a strong sense of peace. She believes we all have the potential to create, and will guide you on your journey, calling on her many years of creative and teaching experience.
