Scruto’s Timber Pets – Garry Scruton

Recently retired from teaching, I find working with timber very therapeutic. Having made musical instruments for personal use, I was challenged to create a life size blue heeler. It now sits faithfully at the foot of the bar at the local hotel. From there, other pets evolved until I began to investigate the mechanics of rocking horses and dabble into the further unknown. Most of my pets are made from marine plywood, while I use Silky Oak for special requests. I use only basic tools that can be found in most home garages and provide the local school with useable offcuts for their timber classes.
